BIO

George Gan is a veteran EO leader, certified trainer, and serial entrepreneur with over 25 years of experience building companies and developing leaders across Southeast Asia and China. He joined EO Malaysia in 1997, served as Chapter President in 2005, and went on to become Area Director, Regional Director for EO APAC, and a member of the EO Global Board from 2010 to 2013.

During his time on the EO Regional Council and Global Board, George was instrumental in launching several landmark EO initiatives, including the Asia Bridge Forum (2006), Asia Bridge Campus (2007), China300 (2011), and MyEO (2013). He was named EO Volunteer of the Year in 2014 and received the prestigious EO Mark Lincoln Award for his contributions to the organization.

Today, George leads the EO Leadership Academy, which has trained over 1,000 EO leaders across 10 regions with an average satisfaction rating of 9.6. He is a certified EO facilitator, forum trainer of 15 years, and a certified EO trainer for the Scaling Up (Gazelles Inc) framework — the same methodology underpinning the EOA program.

As an entrepreneur, George pioneered the IT industry in Malaysia, successfully founding and exiting three IT companies, serving on the boards of two Nasdaq-listed corporations, and co-founding Commerce Dot Com — Malaysia’s largest e-procurement platform at the time. He also served on the Mastercard Advisory Board for e-commerce during the formation years of digital payments.

On Day 2 of the Summit, George will lead the EN-track Learning Day session, drawing on decades of experience training entrepreneurs globally on strategy, execution, and leadership — giving EOA members a practical, hands-on experience in applying Scaling Up principles to their own businesses.
